The Ruffled Autumn Mushroom

The Story Behind...

The Ruffled Autumn Mushroom is a beautiful intricate layered crochet designed with all the cozy feels of autumn.

I was sitting and just playing around with the idea of creating a “Stolt fjällskivling” (Latin name: Macrolepiota procera) and wanted to make a mindful and relaxing make, with calm repetition as the key. And what could be more repetitive than crocheting layers and layers of ruffles?

This will take some time to make but that’s part of the charm. It will have you sitting down and getting lost in the steady rhythm of simple stitches in variating heights, with a playful guest appearance of a small popcorn round of course. I do have a soft spot for those so that’s a must.

And please feel free to play around with colors! I chose calming browns but the options are endless.

A big thank you goes out to our lovely testers:

Ilse from @mycroshed
